Spiritual Direction

My definition of spiritual direction is companioning with people on their spiritual journey. A spiritual director’s job is to listen to the directee and to the Holy Spirit to help the directee see where God is moving in her life. Spiritual direction is NOT mentoring, counseling, training, coaching, or discipleship.

Anyone interested in deepening their relationship with God and wanting to help see how God is moving in her life.

An hour.

Usually monthly but can vary as needed.

Usually the session will begin focusing on the Holy Spirit through prayer, silence or music. The session revolves around what you bring for discussion. Topics usually come from your prayer time, scripture reading, religious reading, and journaling. Topics from your life are always a part of discussion, but it’s how God is working through your life and where you see him moving that is emphasized.

For me spiritual direction is my ministry, but there are overhead costs associated with being a spiritual director. $20/session helps pay for those costs.
